Computer :-  Computer is an electronics device which accept input through keyboard or mouse work inside CPU( Central processing Unit) & finally give up meaningful result on Monitor.

Data :-  The collection of information is called Data. There are four kinds of Data. They are :
1.Text Data
2.Graphic Data
3.Audio Data
4.Video Data

  1. Text Data :-  The collection of alphabet(A-Z) & number (0-9) is called Text Data.
  2. Graphic Data : The collection of constant picture is called Graphic Data.
  3. Audio Data : The collection of voice or sound is called Audio Data.
  4. Video Data :-  The collection of movie or video is called Video Data.

Measurement of Data :-
1 Letter = 1 byte
1024 byte = 1KB(Kilo byte)
1024 KB = 1 MB(Mega byte)
1024 MB = 1GB(Gega byte)
1024 GB = 1TB(Tera byte)
1024 TB = 1PB(Pera byte)

Data storage Device :-
There are four kinds of Data storage device. They are:
  1. Floppy Disk
  2. Pen drive or Memory card
  3. CD/DVD
  4. Hard Disk

  1. Floppy Disk :- This is made by plastic, where you can store 1.44 MB.
  2. Pen drive or Memory card :- This is made by chips, where you can store 32 GB of Data.
  3. CD(Compact Disk)/DVD(Digital Versatiled Disk):- This is made by platinum metal ,where you can store 700 MB Data in CD& 4700 MB Data in DVD.
  4. Hard Disk :- This is made by platinum metal, where you can store 1 TB of Data.

Folder :- This is yellow color box , where you can store your files, Pictures & Video.

Calculator :-  This option helps to calculate the mathematical problem.

How to open Calculator ?
A. First Method :
1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Program .
3. Click on Accessories .
4. Click on  Calculator .

B. Second Method :
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Click on  Run .
  3. Type calc.
  4. Click on  Ok .

VIEW MENU :- This Menu helps to Hide/ Unhide toolbox & color.

How to Hide/ Unhide Toolbox & color?
  1. Click on  View  Menu.
  2. Click on  color box.

How to change the wallpaper?
  1. Right click on Desktop .
  2. Click on  Properties.
  3. Click on Display  or  Desktop.
  4. Choose the any picture.
  5. Click on  Ok.

How to change the screensaver?
  1. Right click on Desktop .
  2. Click on Properties.
  3. Click on Screensaver  tab.
  4. Choose the any screensaver.
  5. Choose the waiting time(1-60min).
  6. Click on Apply.
  7. Click on  Ok.
  8. For  result wait some minutes.

Search :-  This option helps to find the picture, Audio, Video & required file.
How to find the file?
  1. Click on  Start.
  2. Click on  Search.
  3. click on Files or Folder.
  4. Click on All file & folder.
  5. Type the File name.
  6. Click on  search.

Avs*.dat  - For video

How to Hide / unhide Taskbar/
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Click on  Setting.
  3. Click on  Taskbar & start  Menu.
  4. Click on  Auto Hide taskbar.
  5. Click on Apply .
  6. Click on  Ok.


Control Panel :-  This program helps to control the computer.
How to open the control panel?
A. First Method :
  1. Click on  Start.
  2. Click on Run.
  3. Type control.
  4. Click on  Ok.

B. Second Method :
1. Click on  Start.
2. Click on  Setting.
3. Click on  Control Panel.

There are 2 types of computer. They are:

1. Double click on  Mouse.
2. Click on Switch to primary  check box.
3. Click on  Ok.

How to change mouse pointer?
  1. Double click on  Mouse.
  2. Click on  Pointer.
  3. Click on  Browse.
  4. Choose the any shape.
  5. Click Open.

Regional Language Option :- This option helps to change the date Style.
How to change the date style?
1. Double click on  Regional Language Option.
2. Click on  Customize.
3. Click on Date.
4. Type the date format
       DD/MM/YYYY
  1. Click on  Ok.

Accesibility option :-  This option helps to set the mouse key . we can move mouse pointer by Key Board.
How to set the mouse key ?
  1. Double click on Accesibility Option.
  2. Click on  Mouse.
  3. Click on  Use Mouse.
  4. Click on  Apply.
  5. Click on Ok.

Then after the numbers in keyboard work as mouse.

For restart = Alt + Ctrl + Delete
How to make Folder?
1. Right click on empty area.
2. Click on New.
3. Type the Folder name.
4. Click on empty area.

How to delete Folder?
  1. Right click on Required Folder.
  2. Click on  Delete.
  3. Click on  Yes.

How to restore deleted Folder from Recyclebin?
  1. Double click on  Recyclebin.
  2. Right click on required Folder.
  3. Click on Restore.

How to Rename Folder?
  1. Right click on Required Folder.
  2. Click on Rename.
  3. Type the new name.
  4. Click on  Empty Area.

How to copy File & Folder?
  1. Right click on  Required File or Folder.
  2. Click on  Copy.

How to paste the File?
  1. Right Click on Required Folder where you want to paste.
  2. Click on  Paste.

Sound Recorder :- This option helps to record the voice.

  2. Speak in front of mike.
  3. Click on  Stop.

How to add echo?

How to play in reverse?

How to increase the speed?

Page setup :- Page setup :- This option helps to set the page orientation & page Margin.

How to set up page orientation & page margin ?
1. Click on  file  Menu.
2. Click on Page set up.
3. Click on  Margin Tab.
4. Choose the page orientation Portraight or Landscape.
5. Type the page margin.
6. Click on  Ok.

Print preview :-  This option helps to see the document before printing.

How to see the print preview ?
1. Click on  File  Menu.
2. Click on Print preview.
3. Click on  Close.

Print :-  This option helps to print the Document.

How to Print ?

3. Choose the number of copies.

Header & Footer :- This option helps to add the page Header & Footer in all pages.
How to insert Header & Footer?
  1. Type at least 10 pages.
  2. Click on View  Menu.
  3. Click on Header & Footer.
  4. Type the page Title in Header & Footer box.
  5. Click on Close.

Zoom :-  This option helps to zoom the page size 10% to 500%.
How to zoom the page?
  1. Click on View Menu.
  2. Click on Zoom.
  3. Choose the zoom percentage.
  4. Click on  Ok.

Full screen :- This option helps to see the document in full screen.
 How to see the document in full screen?
  1. Click on  View  Menu.

How to change the script?
  1. Type the Formula.
  2. Select the Text.
  3. Click on  Format  Menu.

How to make animation Text?
  1. Select the Text.
  2. Click on Format  Menu.
  3. Click on  Font.

Border & Shading :- This option helps to insert the border, Shading, page Border.

How to insert Border?
1. Select the Text.

1. Select the Text.

 Bullet & Numbering :- This option helps to insert the automatic Bullet & numbering.
How to insert Bullet?
1. put cursor on required place.
2. Click on  Format Menu.

4. Click on  Bullet Tab.
5. Choose the any style of Bullet.
6. Click on Ok.

How to insert Numbering?
  1. Click on Format Menu.
  2. Click on Bullet & Numbering.
  3. Click on  Numbering Tab.
  4. Choose the any style of Numeric.

Column :- This option helps to insert the Newspaper column.
How to insert the newspaper column?
  1. Click on Format Menu.

  3. Choose the number of column.
  4. Click on  Line between box.
  5. Click on  Apply box & choose the point Forward.
  6. Click on Ok.


Drop cap :- This option helps to make paragraph first letter capital & you can type up to 10 lines.

How to insert Drop cap?
  1. Type the paragraph.
  2. Select the first letter.
  3. Click on  Format Menu.
  4. Click on Drop cap.
  5. Choose the Drop cap line.
  6. Click on Ok.

Change case :- This option helps to make the small letter to capital letter.
How to change the letter?
  1. Select the Text.
  2. Click on  Format Menu.
  3. Click on  Change size.

Back Ground :- This option helps to change the back ground color.

Window Media Player :- This program helps to play the Audio & Video songs.

1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Run.
3. Type Mplayer2 or Winplayer.
4. Click on  OK.

How to open the Video Files?
  1. Insert Video CD.
  2. Click on File Menu.
  3. Click on Open.
  4. Click on Look in box & Choose CD Drive.
  5. Double click on MPEGAV Folder.
  6. Click on  Files Type & Choose all Files.
  7. Press ‘Ctrl + A’(select all).
  8. Click on Open.

F9 = Decrease sound
F10 = Increase sound
Ctrl + M = To mute sound

How to copy the CD?
1. Insert the CD & Double click on My computer.
2. Double click on CD Drive
3. Right click on File.
4. Click on Copy.
How to paste the File?
1. Right click on Desktop.
2. Click on Paste.
3. Wait for some minutes.

  4. Click on Ok.

Date & Time :-  This option helps to insert the current Date & Time.

  1. Put curser on required place.
  2. Click on  Insert Menu.

  4. 4.    Choose any date Format.
